The psychology of illustrations

Can illustrations make you more likely to achieve your goals? Google thinks so, and uses illustrations in their Calendar app to help you set and achieve your goals. The illustrations were designed to inspire people to visualize themselves working toward their goals, and therefore be more likely to actually achieve them.
